There are over 55 ways for you to become a sponsor of the Alberta 55+ Games and aside from the adulation of Alberta's largest and most economically powerful demographic, you are gaining provincial media exposure and most importantly, the opportunity to showcase your business in the largest sporting event of its kind for the mature athlete in Alberta.
Airdrie Alberta is pleased to present the games July 23 to 26, 2009, but before the first whistle is blown and the participants cheered on, we are looking for local, regional and provincially based Alberta's businesses who want a tangible way to engage their targeted demographic by promoting sportsmanship, friendships and active living.
All eyes are on Airdrie for four days in 2009 and we will put all those eyes to work for you for months leading up to the gamesas teams qualify in 8 zones throughout the province.
Over 10000 athletes in all zones compete for the right to represent in Airdrie. The 1100 who earn the right to compete bring 1000s of spectators and family and make a holiday of this biannual sporting event. Add local, regional and provincial VIPs and you've got a captive, receptive and engaged audience in all promotional materials, special events and venues.
Hosting the 55+ Games will have an economic spinoff of nearly 1 million dollars, but more importantly Airdrie and its partners will have the incredible opportunity to showcase their community, their businesses and their corporate community mandates in action.
Airdrie is recognized nationally for their community minded spirit from CBC Hockeyville to the Airdrie Festival of Lights - the largest free holiday light show in Western Canada, and the 55 + Games will be no exception. Over 800 volunteers will have signed on to show the world over 55 ways our community can shine when people and resources are pooled together.
Investing in the 55+ Games is easier than trying to beat a sixty year old scratch golfer. And your investment as a sponsor will provide more benefits and recognition than beating a team of 6o-something Whist players at their own game.
Your investment from $55 to $55,000 is pooled to ensure the games are remembered long after the last participant packs up the RV for the drive home to Cold Lake.
The 55+ Sponsorship Committee has adopted a fundraising legacy focus to ensure the legacy lives on. All surplus funds after the games will be set aside in a legacy fund for investment in programs, facilities and affordable housing for Airdrie's growing 55 plus population.
Airdrie's community spirit knows no bounds, and we know from experience that age is only a state of mind. We're young at heart, so are all the participants and so are our 55+ sponsors. We know a good thing when we see it - and it's Airdrie, Alberta, July 23 -26th 2009.
Take the challenge with us and celebrate soaring spirits and winning hearts!
